District 1 is the central and most vibrant district of Ho Chi Minh City, home to colonial landmarks, rooftop bars, shopping streets and markets. The Notre-Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market are all nearby. It is the best base for exploring the city's history, food and nightlife.
